These are very simple paper Valentines decorations that you can make yourself or with your kids. All you need is some paper, scissors and string.
I know not everyone is into decorating for Valentines Day. It can feel commercial and not very romantic. For me it as an opportunity to do a bit of crafting (which I always love) and to add a bit of colour to our home for a few days.
I don’t go overboard and nothing here is expensive or time consuming to make. Also the paper decorations can be recycled when you are finished with them or if you are like me you can store them away and bring them back out again next year!
Folded paper hearts
Supplies:
- Paper (not too thick)
- Scissors
- Saucer or small plate
- Glue
- String

Cut your shapes
Cut your paper into rectangle shapes. Then using a saucer or small plate trace a circle on the paper leaving the two edges straight.

Small paper hearts
If you don’t have time to do all the folding and cutting another even easier decoration you can make for Valentines day or any celebration is to cut out little paper hearts and hang them on branches or along a mantel.
These are just little paper hearts that you can cut out and hang up.
Either cut by hand or trace around a heart shape

So how are you going to decorate for Valentines Day?
